We designed advising services to support you in and out of the classroom and will work with you to create an educational plan that fits with your academic, career and personal goals. We have two types of advisors to help you meet your goals. They are:
College Advisors connect with you from the point of admission throughout your collegiate career at °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±Ö±²¥.
College Advisors will:
- Clarify and confirm your academic path and career choice
- Advise you at New Student Enrollment for your first semester and subsequent terms as needed
- Serve as your ongoing success coach
Program Advisors provide academic support beginning with your second term at °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±Ö±²¥.
Program Advisors will:
- Serve as your content expert by providing detailed advising for your specific area of study
- Provide career mentoring as you explore career options

Representatives from colleges and universities in the Lincoln area are available to meet with you on the Lincoln campus. Check the schedule below for the days, times and locations they will be available:
Many of our Health Science programs have admission requirements that must be completed prior to admission into the program. After meeting the requirements, students may apply for admission into their desired Program of Study.
If you are interested in applying to any of these Health Science programs, you should apply to Health Sciences – Associate of Science and indicate your program of interest.
If you are interested in these programs, you should apply directly to the program as opposed to the Academic Transfer or general Health Sciences program.
Our Admissions Counselors will guide you through the admissions process. Whether you are a first-time student, a student from another college or a current student switching programs, we are here to help you with:
- The application process
- Understanding your course placement based on test scores (ACT, SAT, and/or Accuplacer/Next Generation Accuplacer and/or possible transfer credit
- Guiding visiting students through course selection and registration
- Career Counseling with Explore Career Options and the Focus 2 Career Assessment Tool for prospective students

Our College Advisors are here to help you with the following:
Study Skills: Are you tired of studying hard and still not doing your best? College Advisors will meet with you to explore study strategies designed for your learning style and will make referrals to campus resources as needed.
Time Management: Is your life pretty busy? College Advisors can teach you time management strategies and help you create patterns for success even in the busiest schedule.
Goal Setting/Prioritizing: Not sure why you’re here or where you’re going once you’re done at °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±Ö±²¥? College Advisors will help you look at your values, interests, talents, and responsibilities to set goals and create action plans to achieve those goals.
Connection to Campus & Community Resources: College Advisors can help link you to other important resources like Counseling Assistance Program for Students (CAPS), Financial Aid, and the Tutoring and Learning Center just to name a few.
Personal Support: Need a place to land while you’re on campus? We’ve got you covered. The Advising Center has round tables for group work and conversations, a computer lab for student use, and a friendly staff that will encourage you, hold you accountable, and be there for you every step of the way.
